April 2026 Mission

April Mission Updates: Saturday, April 18

Where I am: Tbilisi, Georgia

Grateful to arrive safely in Tbilisi and begin reconnecting with pastors and leaders in a place that has become deeply meaningful to me.

Today in a sentence:

My departure from Athens was delayed for 2 hours, and by the time I arrived in Tbilisi, it was nearly 4:00 am. After clearing Passport Control and collecting my suitcase, I stepped outside to find my driver.

Even in the early hours, the drive into the city felt familiar. I recognized the highway leading into the center of Tbilisi, and with it came memories from my first visit – along with the relationships that have grown over time with pastors and leaders here.

I arrived at my hotel at 5:00 am, unpacked, and crawled into bed – grateful for a safe journey and aware that this day would come quickly.

When my alarm sounded, it was time to begin. A simple – and sumptuous – Georgian breakfast and a cup of coffee provided space to pause, reflect, and listen. As I look ahead to this weekend of ministry, I find myself asking the Lord not just what to say – but how to listen well.

Later today, I’ll reconnect with Pastor “T,” and we’ll spend time with other pastors before gathering at a church this evening. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be here again.

Prayer/Reflection

Lord, thank You for the rest You’ve given and the strength You provide.

Help me to listen carefully to Your servants today. Give me Your words to speak, and let Your Spirit bring them to life with grace. – Amen

Fun Fact:

Arriving in a new city at 4:00 a.m. always feels a bit surreal – somewhere between yesterday and today. Thankfully, everything went smoothly… even if my internal clock isn’t quite sure what time it is.
